Tenim — Privacy Policy
Tenim ("the app") is a skincare notebook developed by Velodynex. This policy explains what data the app uses and how. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
No account, no server
Tenim has no accounts. Your products, routine, journal notes and photos are never sent to any server. They are stored only on your device, inside the app's own storage.
Photos
Photos you add to a product or to your journal are not analyzed and are not written to your gallery, and their location data is removed before they are saved. To choose an existing photo, the app uses your system's photo picker, so it does not ask for access to your gallery.
Label reading and barcode scanning
Reading an ingredient list from a label and scanning a barcode happen on your device; camera images and the text read from a label are not sent anywhere. On Android, these two features use Google ML Kit. According to Google, ML Kit may send Google technical information such as the device model, Android version, app version, performance metrics and a per-installation identifier that is not meant to identify you or your device; this does not include camera images or the text read from a label.
Barcode lookups
When you scan a barcode, only the barcode number is sent to Open Beauty Facts to fetch the product name and ingredient list; nothing else is sent.
Sharing, export and error reports
A card you create with Share and the export file (Tenim Pro) go only to the app you choose, never to us. An error report opens in your own email app as an email you send yourself; we see only what you choose to send.
System backups
If your phone's system backup is on, this data may be included in your backup; that backup belongs to you, not to us.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes all your data. Before that, you can export it with Tenim Pro.
Subscriptions
Tenim Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google Play, depending on your device, and subscription status is managed via RevenueCat; the only data processed there is the purchase record. We never see your payment card details.
Permissions
Camera: used only when you read a label, scan a barcode or take a photo. Notifications: used only for the reminders you turn on; a reminder never names a product or an ingredient. Tenim does not ask for access to your gallery, contacts or location. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
No ads, no tracking
Tenim shows no ads, uses no analytics and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Children
Tenim is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Third-party services
Open Beauty Facts (barcode lookups), Google ML Kit (label and barcode reading on Android), RevenueCat (subscription status), Apple and Google Play (purchases). Each has its own privacy policy. A link to a source's website opens in your browser, where that website's own policy applies.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
